The game itself is really fun! But it can be unfair sometimes . As an example the AI seem to be able to fly over a higher level in the map then the player and the view of the player itself is kinda annoying . You could be going up and get sniped by a enemy that you didn't even see. But overall the game seems pretty neat! Just would like some balancing ...
As an old-school Joust fan I am totally addicted to this one. I liked it so much I tried out Kobold Siege, and now I hate the Chef Knights even more! Great game!
Do feel that the difficulty of the Chef's Knights or Knights' Chefs is a huge step upwards. Got a lot of trouble beating the, which at the same time makes the game less interesting, because you have to beat the same enemies every single time. Perhaps a bit of variation would alleviate this?
Played this game and oh boy - it is a hard game! At the beginning I didn't know what to do for a while, but eventually understood how to play. There are unfair parts about this game (fe. enemies can fly off screen but you can't), but on the other hand I am not that great at games like this.
What do you mean, enemies can fly off-screen? Noone can fly off the top, and everyone can use wrap-around at the side edges. If anything, you have an advantage because you drop in from above when you died.
Edit: Ah yeah, you mean when the viewport is scrolling. That's a bit annoying indeed. Would be nice to have some sort of indicator at the top of the screen as well, similar to the sides.
They can fly off the screen upwards; that's what I meant, which is a bit unfair for me. I am not mad, because not every game is supposed to be beaten on first or second try, I just think I should be able to fly off-screen upwards as my opponents; or no-one should be able to do so. Right now the only moment you can be at greater heights than your opponent is when you get hit.
Yeah that is true as well. They seem to be able to fly a little bit higher than you at the top of the screen. This for me is part of the tactics though, get on top of them before they reach the top of the screen.
Yeah, it's on purpose! Otherwise being on the sky would be too safe (as just tapping up there would let you win all matches) abd that's boring and static. The idea is to fly aorund and juke them!
I will however add smoke to all units that can fly over you (and not just "powered up" guys") so it's easier to tell! Next update, as i will add some fan characters as well!
This is super polished! I found myself mostly stomp enemies from the top as it's much more consistent than stabbing. (Sometime I thought I was higher but I still got beated.) btw I love the art, animation and color pallette. I also love the fact that the egg jump up when hitting the lava, clever and funny XD
Only slight gripe is that I wish the enemies got a bit more varied, even in small ways. Having it that the pigs eggs bounces left and right a bit to make them harder to catch or the skeletons coming back to life with one egg after too long would've added a lot of replay value. Still really cool, keep up the good work!
Also boner the skeleton is overpowered please nerf

Brings back fond memories of playing Joust in arcades in the 90's! Gameplay's real fun, but i really want to play with a joystick/button combo lol

Surprisingly fun game! Enemies are actually hard to beat and require a certain degree of tactics. Nicely done!

i do still think the height you're able to reach should be about equal, so that if you're both at the top it's about a 50/50 or just a bump.
This game is amazing, thank you! The one thing I believe it is missing is player versus player.

Very nice. Much enjoyed. Bloody hard though, with some of the enemies having a higher max altitude and velocity. Am still trying to be round 4.
