so first you have to make sure the horse .png files are in the actual customhorses folder, as well as the .horse file being saved in that same folder when you save that horse.
Also ! You can make folders inside the the customhorses folder for .png files organization but not the .horse files, that's also give you an error like that
You just create a horse and then you click on load horse skin and you choose 1 lizard then you will click on load horse BG color and click on the same lizard (if the horse you want to load have a BG then use it) and if you want you can choose a color with the RGB bars to change the color of the smoke and the paint it lets around. Finally you click on "Name and save horse" you save it in customhorses folder and you will get your horse. (ALL THESE STEPS ARE IN THE FILE IN THE GAME FOLDER "HOW TO HORSE.txt")

As far as commissions go, can I do Commissions for custom horses ( drawing a custom horse for MONEY ) assuming that I don't directly use the template ( So not just filling it in, but rather drawing over it, drawing over it both being something completely different or just following the shape/tracing it)?

My Rain World inspired maps! I'm trying to put together some lore as the lizards race through the map for my friends, I was wondering if it's possible to add custom tiles? especially for obstacles like the Punchers?
decided to make Nubby from Nubby's Number Factory into a horse. Not the greatest artist, so he's a little scuffed looking, but hopefully somebody gets a kick out of seeing the goober roll around the screen
You likely didn't save the image, or horse in the "custom horses" folder, if its something else you can see the "HOW TO HORSE.txt" or "TROUBLESHOOTING.txt" for more help
this is my son, wob, made to test nothing else more, i made him in like 5 minutes, love him very much(ignore the name of the file) and invisible bg something
i assume it just means "after drawing your horses, save the file as a png, then place them in the customhorses folder" you can make pngs with almost anything, if you dont have a drawing software i recomend paint.NET as it supports transparency out of the gate

I had an issue where I tried to create a custom horse without a BG
It worked, but it was massively out of scale and did not look good at all

Yes you can you only need to create a horse and copy the same pose for each sprite.

In the customhorses folder, you have two images: customhorsetemplate.png and customhorsetemplateBG.png!
The first one is the drawing on top of everything, the black lines.
The second one is the part you can recolor. (You can ignore this part if you want, and bake in the color in the first image!)
When you have your set done, leave them in the customhorses folder. They must be PNGs!" this part confuses me. where do i do the drawing?
